Hon. Sarafa Olaoniye, popularly known as Bibire, has officially emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
His emergence effectively brings to an end two-decade dominance of former lawmaker, Hon. Muraina Ajibola, in securing major party’s ticket for the House of Representatives seat since 2006. With this development, Bibire becomes the first politician to successfully break Muraina’s long-standing hold on the PDP and APC’s nomination for the constituency.
The official confirmation came following the presentation of Certificates of Return to all victorious House of Representatives candidates who emerged from the party’s recently concluded primary elections.
A reliable source at the APC state secretariat in. Abuja made available photographs showing the presentation ceremony, during which Hon. Sarafa Olaoniye received his Certificate of Return alongside other successful House of Representatives candidates in Oyo State.
The development also lends credence to an earlier report by Peoples Conscience, which had revealed that Olaoniye was on course to secure the APC ticket. The latest confirmation reinforces the platform’s track record of publishing accurate political developments and exclusive reports throughout its 11 years of operation.
With his candidacy now officially confirmed, attention is expected to shift to the general election campaign, where Olaoniye will seek the mandate of the electorate to represent the constituency in the House of Representatives with candidates from other political parties.
